G-SHOCK non-stop toughness

G-Shock is a brand of watches manufactured by Casio, known for its resistance to shocks (e.g. hard knocks and strong vibrations). They were, and continue to be, designed primarily for sports, military, and outdoor adventure oriented activity; for example, practically all G-Shocks have some kind of stopwatch feature, countdown timer, light and water resistance. Recent models have become more luxury and design oriented.

How to Check for an Original G-Shock

Because of their popularity, Casio G-Shock watches are often duplicated and sold on eBay, online shopping sites and malls. Scam websites such as Cheap G Shock deceive unsuspecting customers of their money. These replicas are designed to look just like the originals, so much so that their differences cannot be seen by untrained eyes. However, there are a few details that you can catch as long as you know what to look for.
  1. Check the G-Shock's model number. The majority of fake G-Shock watches do not come with actual model numbers, such as DW-6900. Google any number you find to see if it is legitimate.
  2. Look for the Casio logo. Authentic G-Shocks have "Casio" listed on their front and back casing. Search carefully, as it is very small. If it is not there, you have a duplicate
  3. Take note of the packaging that came with the watch. Official G-Shock boxes have the model number printed on their backs, along with the Casio G-Shock logo.
  4. Purchase an actual G-Shock from a legitimate retailer. Hold it in your hand and get accustomed to its solid weight and material feel. Most G-Shock duplicates are made of cheaper, lighter material so they can be sold at a lower price.
